Pittsburgh Sports League
For the past 15 years, the Pittsburgh Sports League (PSL) has been one of the most popular adult sports leagues for locals. PSL offers a unique variety of coed teams for sports including basketball, bowling, broomball, cornhole, darts, dek hockey, dodgeball, flag football, kickball, running, soccer, softball, tennis, ultimate and volleyball. With so many different options, PSL hosts games, matches and tournaments year round.
Sports Monster
Sports Monster is one of the nation’s best adult leagues (21+) that offers skill level tournaments ranging from recreational to competitive. Pittsburgh Sports Monster runs six sports including basketball, flag football, kickball, soccer, softball and indoor volleyball. The league is known to provide well-run leagues that foster an enjoyable playing environment.
Basketball
The Jewish Community Center (JCC) offers year-round basketball competition, recreation and education for youth and adults of all skill levels. Leagues are available at both the Squirrel Hill and South Hills JCC locations.
Iceoplex at Southpointe also hosts adult and youth basketball leagues.
Bocce
Major League Bocce is an adult league that is fun, social and accessible. The league plays at outdoor locations in South Side and Lawrenceville during the spring, summer and fall months. And in the winter time, the league is moved inside at Mario’s East Side Saloon in Shady Side for bar bocce.
Curling
Find out how to curl with the Pittsburgh Curling Club. The club has one league, the Can-Am League, which plays on Saturday nights at the Robert Morris University Island Sports Center. The league runs weekly from October to March. There is also Vampire Curling for those who prefer to stay out late.
Football
The Pittsburgh Flag Football League offers both youth and adult leagues. For the kids, PFFL provides a seasonal youth program that is mutually beneficial for the players and parents. The 4 on 4 adult league provides athletes with a personalized profile page, weekly coverage and the opportunity to make the all-star team at the end of the season. Practice and games are held Sunday mornings at the George Cupples Stadium in South Side.
Hockey
Iceoplex at Southpointe has a variety of adult hockey leagues including ice, dek and inline. Youth leagues are available for dek hockey. RMU Island Sports Center hosts in-house ice hockey leagues. Leagues vary on ages ranging from youth, adult, and 30+ (Senior Iron Lung).
Quidditch
Join the Steel City Quidditch Club as it is looking to recruit new teammates for games and tournaments leading up to the Quidditch World Cup. The team is part of the International Quidditch Association, which hosts a World Cup in seven different nations. Practices are in Schenley Park and are always open to the public.
Roller Derby
Steel City Roller Derby is Pittsburgh's only all-female adult roller derby league and is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association. PCRD consists of five home teams that play each other in addition to teams from other cities.
Rowing
Looking to get back on the water? Pittsburgh has two rowing clubs for youth and adults. Steel City Rowing Club prepares the rowers for success, as many of the rowers are national and international champions. The Three Rivers Rowing Association is another league that offers a variety of youth and adult leagues ranging from learning how to row to rowing for fitness.
Rugby
The Pittsburgh Rugby Football Club hosts adult men's, women's and "Old Boys" (35+) rugby teams. PRFC plays an up-tempo, quick running game. The league is always happy to welcome new players of all experience levels.
Soccer
Pittsburgh Dynamo Youth Soccer emphasizes development of fundamental soccer skills and good sportsmanship. The leagues range in ages from 4-16 years old. Iceoplex hosts year-round indoor youth and adult soccer leagues. During the summer months, there is a 3 on 3 sand soccer league. Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Area has youth & adult soccer leagues available. PISA has a high school league, men's league, coed league and a variety of skill-level divisions.
Swimming
Team Pittsburgh Masters is an amateur adult swim league for swimmers of all abilities. The team is equip with coaches, training techniques and regularly participates in local and national meets. Practices are held at the pool in Trees Hall on The University of Pittsburgh’s campus.
Table Tennis
Pittsburgh Table Tennis has two different competitive club teams in the Pittsburgh Area: South Park Table Tennis Club and Pittsburgh Oakland Table Tennis Club. Both leagues participate in weekly practices and tournaments as well as the Pittsburgh Amateur Ping Pong Championship and Pittsburgh Steel City Open.
Tennis

The league Pittsburgh’s premier online tennis community providing players the ability to schedule matches with locals, track scores and play at the most convenient courts. Leagues are available during the spring, summer and fall months.
Tennis in Pittsburgh offers youth and adult leagues that help players learn and enhance tennis skills. Leagues play year-round at Mellon Park Tennis Center in Pittsburgh’s East End.
Triathlon
The Pittsburgh Triathlon Club is a league full of professional and beginner triathletes. The league hosts group activities in the North Hills, South Hills, East Pittsburgh and downtown with regular open water swims in the Allegheny River. The Triathlon Club also has helpful resources including swimming options, bike routes and run training groups.
Ultimate
Pittsburgh Ultimate is the organizing body for Ultimate Frisbee in Pittsburgh providing an enjoyable and nurturing spirit and fairness at all levels of competition. Leagues range from youth to adult and are offered year round.
Volleyball
Iceoplex at Southpointe offers Co-ed Recreational and Competitive Sand Volleyball Leagues for anyone 18 and older. Gators Grille in Glenshaw also offers Beach Volleyball Leagues.
