It’s Back to Business in Pittsburgh
Thanks to the support of our entire hospitality community, Pittsburgh is back to doing what we do best – successfully welcoming business events.
With health and safety measures in place, the hotels, venues, restaurants and attractions are committed to welcoming visitors back to our city. The David L. Lawrence Convention Center – and its 1.5 million square feet of space – offers plenty of room to safely host events. And, the building’s design, which features a natural air ventilation system, makes the space even more attractable. Additionally, the Center has implemented the ASM Global VenueShield Environmental Hygiene Program, a comprehensive group of hygiene initiatives including food safety measures, service cleaning, reduced touch points, daily monitoring systems and more.
Recently, Pittsburgh welcomed the NAFA Institute & EXPO where attendees enjoyed a number of Only in Pittsburgh experiences, including a welcome reception at Heinz Field. Bill Schankel, Chief Executive Officer of NAFA Fleet Management Association, had nothing but fantastic remarks to share about his group’s first experience back to live events since 2019.
We know that there’s just no replacing the interactions, networking and business that gets done at in-person events. Bill put it best when he said, “Within the first five minutes of our opening reception, I had three different conversations with attendees stating how the peer-to-peer networking was invaluable, in fact – those conversations alone covered the cost of attending the conference. They were able to share opportunities and challenges among their peers and walked away with valuable information and solutions.”
As we continue through the year, there are more than 40 business meetings and events scheduled for Pittsburgh, including eight citywide events. And, we’re here to tell you that Pittsburgh is ready for it. With world-class hotels, unique venues and attractions, outstanding service and more, Pittsburgh is the ideal place to host in-person events. As you consider booking future meetings, contact our team to find out how we can make your event a success, Only in Pittsburgh.
