Going Green at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center
The Platinum LEED®-certified David L. Lawrence Convention Center (DLCC) has long prioritized sustainable operations. Consider having a green meeting in Pittsburgh!
The David L. Lawrence Convention Center boasts more than 1.5 million feet of meeting and exhibit space, including column-free exhibit halls and high ceilings that allow for plenty of natural lighting. Steps away from Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, the Convention Center is within walking distance of many Only in Pittsburgh attractions and experiences, making it the premier facility for your next meeting or event.
Reduced Carbon Impact
From recycling to product use to conserving natural resources, including water, energy and air quality, a commitment to sustainability is made with each event, ensuring a reduced carbon impact, free of cost!
Fresh, Locally Grown Food
Sustainability is incorporated into the Center’s food and beverage options, too. Planners can work with Levy Convention Centers, the facility’s food service provider, to order meals which use locally grown products. Events can give back to the community, too, by donating leftover food, as well as compost unconsumed food and all paperware.
Green-Space Meetings
Take your meeting outside by utilizing either the Rooftop Boulevard or the Rooftop Terrace. The Rooftop Boulevard, located on the building’s fourth level, features a sleek, modern space that can host up to 300 people. Home to plants native to Western Pennsylvania, the space is furnished with teak seating fixtures and innovative uplighting.
The Rooftop Terrace, opened in June 2022, offers unrivaled riverfront and city views alongside expansive walkways and curated rooftop gardens. Large enough to host a group up to 1,500 guests, the fully customizable space is the premier outdoor meeting venue in Downtown Pittsburgh.
