Braddock's Battlefield History Center
Braddock's Battlefield History Center is located on the original site of the Battle of the Monongahela, also known as Braddock's Defeat. On July 9, 1755, French and Native American forces defeated British and American troops at the onset of the French and Indian War. The museum's new exhibits, including a six-pounder cannon, interpret the fascinating and consequential history of the Battle that sent shock waves throughout the world. The museum is open Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, 11am - 4pm, Tours for groups and special gatherings may be arranged in advance.
