PITTSBURGH – The long-awaited spring season has officially begun, and with great weather comes great outdoor adventures in Pittsburgh. Unique activities can be found for both the seasoned adventurer as well as those who prefer to simply get outdoors and relax amongst the spring scenery.
Unfamiliar with the Pittsburgh area but want to see all that it has to offer? Throughout the parks and trails intertwined across the city, visitors will find beautiful scenery, including more than 3,500 native Eastern redbud trees planted over the past five years by The Pittsburgh Redbud Project. With vibrant bursts of pink color lining the trails, promenades, hillsides, parks and open public spaces along Pittsburgh’s three rivers, the views are sure to wow all visitors.
There are more than 30 miles of river shoreline within the city limits, allowing visitors to dive right into unique and thrilling water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding adventures, boating and more.
